Heinrich Bussmann School in Lünen focuses on the individual support and development of its students. As a secondary school, it allows students to obtain all types of school-leaving certificates. In addition to 34 teachers, the school has a school social worker, a special education teacher, and two staff members.Within the elective course program (Wahlpflichtangebot or WP), students are specifically encouraged in various areas based on their areas of interest besides having a good education on STEM, STEAM and Foreign Languages.These include environmental awareness and sustainability, world cultural heritage, digitization, human rights, democracy education. These elective courses aim to not only foster key competencies in regular classes but also to raise awareness of these thematic areas in extracurricular activities. As being aware of the cruciality of giving education compatible to 21st century skills, we urge upon ICT skills and critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Bergama Republic Anatolian High School provides educational services since 1973, there are 292 students, 29 staff with 26 teachers, 2 vice principals and 1 principal. Our school has been a boarding school since 2005 and 120 students benefit from our school’s dormitory. We provide educational services to our students aged 14 to 18 to prepare them for the higher education institutions such as universities, academies and colleges. Our main aims are to raise our students towards social skills, 21st century skills, multiliteracy, healthy lifestyle, sustainability and entrepreneurship. In addition to the academic development of our students, we also care about their psychological, social and cultural development. For this reason, we motivate them to participate in all kind of social and cultural activities. We also organize training courses for them in the field of drama, dancing, media literacy, sports, ICT, Informatic, etc. We take part in several national and international projects and competitions every year.
Neofit Rilski High School is the general education school in the municipality of Harmanli, with it uniqueness in several aspects. Our school is the heir of the educational traditions in the town since 1835. The first high school class was opened in 1908. Since 1986/87, our school has been teaching students in classes Foreign Languages; with intensive study of English, and since the school year 2010/2011 in Natural Sciences and Mathematics classes. Now in the classes after 7th grade in high school students are trained in the profiles Economical Development; Software and hardware sciences and Natural sciences. Both social sciences and natural sciences are represented in the curricula of these profiles in different percentages.
