Exchange on Media Applications, Movement, and Responsibility
In March 2025, a special international project under the Erasmus+ program took place at Heinrich–Bussmann–Schule, focusing on digital wellbeing. Students from Bulgaria, Turkey, and Germany participated in activities aimed at raising awareness of digital media usage and its impact on mental and physical health.
Students received training through the Medienscouts NRW program, covering topics such as:
Protection of personal data and privacy
Identifying and preventing cyberbullying
Recognizing fake news
Using social media safely
After the training, the students will serve as "points of contact" for their peers, promoting responsible digital behavior.
Students analyzed their digital habits and discussed the consequences of excessive device use, such as lack of sleep, concentration problems, and stress. Additionally, they organized a day without digital devices, which encouraged creative thinking and motivated them to spend time on walks, board games, and other alternative activities.
To find healthy alternatives to digital media, students participated in a special taekwondo training session. They also visited the Football Museum in Dortmund, with a focus on discipline, movement, and self-confidence – all without any Wi-Fi!
