As part of the Erasmus+ project “Digital Wellbeing”, the project was presented at an event on Digital Wellbeing at the Bavarian Representation in Berlin. This event provided an important opportunity to share the project’s aims, activities and results with a wider audience and to show how schools can support young people in using digital media consciously, safely and healthily.
The presentation focused on the main themes of the project, including Digital Detox, media literacy, cyber safety, responsible social media use, misinformation and disinformation, digital citizenship and healthy media habits. The project team explained how students from Germany, Türkiye and Bulgaria worked together during the international mobilities and how they reflected on their own digital behaviour.
A special focus was placed on the importance of Digital Wellbeing in everyday school life. The project showed that young people need not only technical digital skills, but also strategies for dealing with screen time, online pressure, social media, fake news and digital stress. The audience was informed about how workshops, reflection tasks, sports activities, media scout training and creative digital activities helped students develop a more balanced and responsible approach to digital media.
The event also highlighted the European dimension of the project. Students and teachers from three partner countries worked together, exchanged experiences and developed educational materials that can continue to be used after the end of the project. These results include flyers, presentations, lesson plans, survey materials and other resources for teaching and dissemination.
Presenting the project in Berlin helped make the topic of Digital Wellbeing visible beyond the partner schools. Although the event took place at the Bavarian Representation, the topic is relevant far beyond one federal state. It concerns schools, families and young people across Germany and Europe.
The Berlin event was an important dissemination activity and strengthened the visibility of the Erasmus+ project. It showed that Digital Wellbeing is a key topic for modern education and that schools can play an active role in helping students become responsible digital citizens.
We would like to thank all participants and organisers for the opportunity to present the project and to share our experiences in such an inspiring setting.
