The mobility under the Erasmus+ project “Digital Well-being”, No. 2024-1-DE03-KA210-SCH-000252593, was successfully completed.
As hosts, we welcomed our guests from Germany and Turkey. For the students, this was an extremely exciting experience, as they had the chance to communicate with peers from other countries, learn more about their culture, and show them our school and our town.
From the very first day, we tried to make a good impression and present some of the most interesting activities we have at school. We began with warm-up games led by Ines Myumyun from 11A and Derya Myumyune from 10B, and then continued in mixed groups in the STEM center classrooms. In one of them, Georgi Georgiev from 10B presented the world of virtual reality. The guests were impressed by the possibilities of VR technology.
After that, the students from 5A — Kaloyan Vasilev, Teodor Zhekov, Valentin Gospodinov, Miraya Hristova — together with Desislav Bogoev from 11A, demonstrated collaborative robots, or robotic arms, which can show production processes in enterprises or arrange warehouse inventory. They explained how we program them and what tasks they can perform. The participants were also introduced to the possibilities of 3D printing.
The next stop was the green screen classroom. There, Nadya Georgieva from 9B and Enes Mustafa from 10B organized short interviews with several participants from the groups in front of the green screen. Everyone had fun, because they had the chance to be part of a real video production with effects.
After lunch, we continued the day with a visit to the museum in our town. The guests learned more about the history of the region, and afterwards we showed them some of our most famous landmarks — the Humpback Bridge and the Caravanserai. The day ended at the town stadium, where we organized various sports activities, and Ivaylo Dimitrov from 11B led a kickboxing training session. The atmosphere was very pleasant, everyone took part actively and had fun.
On the second day, we continued the programme at school, after which we headed to the town of Kardzhali. There, we visited the local museum, where the guests learned about the archaeological treasures of the region. At the end of the day, we had a group dinner — one of the nicest moments, because we had the opportunity to talk, laugh and share our impressions from the day.
On the third day, we spent the morning at school. After presentations about Bulgarian holidays, we held a game on the Kahoot platform, which created many positive emotions and friendly competition. Then, students from 5A — Desislava Georgieva and Velislava Valeva — demonstrated the projects they are working on in their robotics classes. The guests from Germany and Turkey were delighted by the work of the younger students.
In the afternoon, we set off for Haskovo. There, we visited the tennis courts, where we all had a short tennis lesson. For some, this was their first experience with this sport, which made the moment even more interesting.
On Thursday, we visited the city of Plovdiv and the Natural History Museum. We concluded the meeting with a formal certificate ceremony, hugs and tears because of the upcoming farewell to our new friends.
Last week was unforgettable. Despite the busy programme, we managed to have fun, learn many new things and create friendships that we will remember for a long time. It was an honour for us to present our school and our town to the international guests and to be part of this exceptional experience.
